Even as a little boy I drew all the time. My elementary school teacher was upset with all the drawings in my textbooks and tests. During high school, I have extra classes in art, and then I studied art history at university.

Music has also been important to me. I studied musicology at Lund University. I wrote music and was one part of the jazz duo Paria, which had a number of koserts and nice reviews in the press.

At the end of the 1970s I attended a course in graphic art, etching, copper engraving and drypoint with the teacher Hans Verduyn, a Dutch graphic artist. At the end of the course, a student exhibition was organized at a local gallery. I had some success, and discovered that you can actually make money from art.

Later I had some small drypoint prints exhibited at a frame maker in Lund, and through this got in touch with a gallery that I still have exhibitions at. It continued with exhibitions, during the 80s and 90s I had lots of exhibitions around southern Sweden.
Nowadays, I am relaxed when it comes to exhibitions. My philosophy now is “if they want my art, they can contact me”.

At the end of the 80s, I held my first watercolor course. It was a success and since then teaching watercolor has become more and more important to me. I hold courses in Lund and go to Tuscany for summer courses.

In August 2012 I posted my first video on Youtube. There have been quite a few since then. In my videos I only show how I paint, no narration or other description, just how a painting is made. Feel free to take a look.

In the summer of 2020, I started my blog, in which I try to provide knowledge about watercolor painting. There is information about different colors, paper and brushes – materials in general. There are articles on painting techniques and a lot of exercises with detailed descriptions that you can paint.
